Due to concerns regarding the spread of Covid-19 the City of Calgary has recently closed much of its park infrastructure to the public. While this closure isn’t specific to disc golf courses, the Calgary Disc Golf Club wants to be proactive in our approach to the public concerns.
In a recent letter, the PDGA explicitly asked their global membership to “skip the course, and stay home.” The CDGC strongly supports this recommendation and want to pass it on to you. STAY HOME! There will be lots of opportunity to golf in the future, we can take a break and focus on some other priorities in the short term. We need to remember that it’s a privilege, not a right. If we abuse it, the City may choose to take the privilege away from us.
Thanks for your support and understanding.
Be Smart. Play Safe.
