The Calgary Disc Golf Club (CDGC) is excited to welcome you back to the 2024-2025 Putting League! Once again, we’re offering two thrilling sessions, giving you more opportunities to sharpen your skills, meet new people, and compete in a friendly, welcoming environment. Whether you’re a league veteran or new to disc golf, this year promises to be another fantastic experience indoors during Calgary’s colder months!
Two Sessions, More Chances to Play
As with previous years, the Putting League will feature two sessions, offering participants flexibility to join the competition that fits their schedule. Remember that each session requires separate registration, so don’t miss out when registration opens!
🟠 Fall Session
- Dates: November 4 – December 16, 2024 (7 weeks)
- Cost: $80
- Note: Yes, we’ll play on Remembrance Day, so plan accordingly!
🔵 Winter Session
- Dates: January 13 – March 10, 2025 (8 weeks)
- Cost: $90
- Note: No league play on Family Day, but the fun continues every other week!
📅 Registration for the Fall Session opens on Thursday, October 17, at 8:00 PM. Keep an eye on the CDGC’s website and social channels for updates on the Winter Session registration date
What to Expect
The Putting League is held at the Calgary Horseshoe Club (4310 78 Ave SE), providing a spacious and cozy indoor venue. Expect:
- A fun, friendly atmosphere that’s perfect for all skill levels.
- Opportunities to improve your putting with tips from experienced disc golfers.
- Weekly competitions with payouts, door prizes, and exciting formats that keep things fresh.
While the game formats are familiar, they’re always a hit! We’ll be playing:
- Horseshoes – A doubles format with multiple rounds.
- Obstacles – Put your skills to the test with tricky, obstructed putts.
- Greed – A test of accuracy and strategy putting across varying distances.
- Relay – An ever evolving team game where you each require 5 putters.
