Calgary Disc Golf Club is pleased to announce the 2023 Mentorship Program!
The Disc Golf Mentorship Program is a free program offered by the Calgary Disc Golf Club to its members where disc golfers are paired with more experienced players. The program is designed to provide players the opportunity to develop their disc golf skills, meet members of the community, and share their disc golf experience and knowledge.
The program is open for members of all skill levels and will run for a period of eight weeks, starting July 2nd, 2023, through to August 27th.
To express interest as a Mentor please fill out the following questionnaire by June 30th at 8pm MDT
To express interest as a Mentee please fill out the following questionnaire on June 26th at 8PM MDT – This is first come first serve and fills up very quickly so be prepared!
The CDGC will pair mentors with mentees based on level of skill, areas of interest, availability and location. The pairs will meet either virtually or on the course once a week to work on skills and practice tips, learn rules and etiquette, and play rounds.
Beginner and Intermediate players who sign up as mentees can expect to improve their scores, increase their confidence on the course, and to expand their network of players.
Intermediate and Advanced players who sign up as mentors can expect to develop their leadership and coaching skills, improve their game through teaching, and to be able to give back to the Calgary disc golf community.
NEW THIS YEAR! Thanks to Taylor at Limber Disc Golf, all Mentors who sign up and get paired with a mentee will receive a $15 gift card to spend at Limber Disc Golf. Grab that disc you have been eyeing or just a few drinks with your mentee after your round!
The Mentorship Program will offer an optional mentor / mentee doubles tournament at the end of the summer; more details inside the questionnaire.
**CDGC membership is not required but encouraged. Discount for memberships for both mentees and mentors through the mentorship program are available, inquire directly with CJ at firstname.lastname@example.org **
