(email from the Red Deer Lake Community Assn)
It’s that time of year again. I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you all the best in 2017.
We have finally received the new passes for 2017 for both community members and Lloyd park users. They will be available at the Community hall on the following dates and times:
Tues, Dec. 27 from 3 to 6 pm
Wed, Dec. 28 from 3 to 6 pm
Sat, Dec 31 from 9 to 11 am
If you cannot makes these days and times, you will need to make arrangements with Gillian at the park managers residence by calling 403-256-4113
If possible, print the attached form and have it filled out prior to coming out to the hall. The form has two parts, one for community members and one for Lloyd park users. Please fill out the appropriate form.
In the past year we have had some issues that need to be addressed so that everyone is clear on what is required by park users.
- To be very clear. Lloyd park is not a dog park. MD of Foothills bylaws are very specific that you must be in control of your pet at ALL times. If your pet cannot stay close by, then you must have it on a leash. We are starting to see a lot more doggy doo left behind. If you see some and it is not yours, please pick it up or we will have to start to enforce every pet being on a leash at all times.
- The gate is there for a reason. It keeps people from driving in without having a pass. If you drive up and it is open, it is because someone has left it open. There is no time that we leave the swing gate open, so if you find it that way, please close it behind you.
- If there is something happening in the park that you believe needs our attention, please call us or send us an email. We cannot patrol the park at all times. If you think a member is not following the rules, please try to get their membership number from their tag or a license plate number so we can address your concerns. In any emergency you can call 911 or the Okotoks RCMP at 403-938-4202
- Speed limit in the park 30 km/hr. Please watch your speed.
Lloyd Park Access Pass Fee: $25.00
An additional tag for vehicles from the same residence can be provided at a cost of $5.00.
