You may see his familiar Zuca cart full of plastic, but don’t think that it’s his dad’s hand-me-down discs. Our first junior feature is with Jackson Pease.
I asked him what would his three recommended discs for new junior players are and why. Jackson stresses getting discs in the right weight to start. Low 160s would be the heaviest to start.
These are his choices from his bag:
- Fairway Driver – 166g Discmania FD: for dead straight shots.
- Mid-range – 169g MVP Reactor: bit of stability and reliability in the wind.
- Putter – 168g Discraft Magnet: nice and grippy plastic with a good amount of glide when it gets beat in.
Q: What is your favorite thing is about disc golf?
A: My favorite thing would probably be trying to improve and get better every time I play.
Q: What would be your best tip for new junior players (and their parents) ?
A: When you go to the store to go get discs, make sure you get lightweight and not really heavy stuff because it’s really hard to throw heavier weights.
