Supporting Disc Golf in Calgary, Alberta!

CDGC, Junior, Mentorship

The future of disc golf starts now with junior lessons!

If you’ve ever wanted your kids to have the opportunity to learn from the best, that chance has come! Local MPO pro player Thomas Kuhn will be the guide for Calgary’s next generation of disc golfers this spring at the convenient central location of the Lindsay Park disc golf course.

Starting May 2nd and running from 6:30 to 8:30 PM (approx.) every Thursday until June 27th, these junior disc golf lessons are open to all kids ages 6-14 at the stunningly low cost of only $10 for all 9 weeks of lessons!

Each week will feature 15-20 minutes of instruction followed by 9 holes of play. Instruction will cover the rules of the game, basic disc golf etiquette, skills coaching in putting, backhand throws, forehand throws, and much more! Players will keep score of their rounds each week, with points for the most improved players as the weeks go on, and prizes and a wrap-up tournament party at the end!

Our goal is to provide a super fun, uplifting and structured experience for junior players, expanding their skills and helping them to be their best selves out on the disc golf course.

All junior registrants must be CDGC members, but registration options which include new individual junior and family memberships are available on the registration page, in addition to the registration option for existing members of the CDGC. Don’t forget – individual junior memberships are a one-time cost and last until the member is 18 years old!

Registration is available here.

If you have any questions about the junior lessons, please contact CDGC Events Director Thomas Kuhn or the CDGC.
